Dear Company Representatives,

Please make sure that staff members who are authorized to schedule employees for assessments understand the following requirements:
CTCCB Policy requires that Registration forms are received at our facility via Fax to (361) 289-0499.
Forms must be received a minimum of 24 business hours prior to the scheduled assessment.

  1. Registration forms MUST be legible, have the correct assessment name, day, date and time, correct name and spelling, and the correct and complete SSN or NCCER number. If CTCCB discovers that any information on the registration form is inaccurate or illegible, we will contact the Rep. to request a corrected form. If CTCCB enters the data submitted and a mistake on the part of the company resulted in inaccurate participant or test data, the participant may not be accepted into that day’s session, in most cases corrections cannot be made on the spot. Under these circumstances, a corrected registration form must be submitted by the employer using the standard minimum 24-business hour registration notice policy.
  2. Assessments are given on a first-come, first-serve basis; we will accommodate you to the best of our ability. We recommend that you register your employee(s) well ahead of time, the MINIMUM being 24 business hours in advance of the scheduled session. If we receive a registration form for a session that is already booked, or not submitted at least 24 hours in advance, we will contact the Rep. to reschedule the employee for a future session.
  3. Although providing the Employee Information Form is optional, it helps to ensure employee know what is expected.

Please review the scheduling procedures as detailed in the following guidelines:

Assessment Registration Guidelines:

✵ Registrations are accepted via fax only, using the registration form provided. Registration forms must arrive at our facility a minimum of 24 business hours in advance of the desired test session. (More notice is advised)

✵ Please fax a separate Registration form for each session. You may register multiple participants for the same session on a single form even if the tests themselves are different, but you may not register one person for multiple sessions on the same form, and you may not register a person for more than one test per session.

✵ Registration forms that have been signed by an unauthorized representative, those in which the signature is a photo copy, and those which are incomplete, illegible, and/or unsigned will not be processed until corrected and resubmitted and therefore may result in the employer having to be reschedule the exam using the standard minimum 24 business hours’ notice policy.

✵ Regular assessment participants must arrive at the Assessment site Monday-Thursday at 1:00 p.m., and on Friday at 8:00 a.m. (which is 20 minutes prior to start of the scheduled test.) It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete paperwork and be ready to enter the CBT lab no later than 20 minutes after the hour to complete pretest processing in the lab.

Pipeline testing is held on Wednesday Mornings only. Employee SSN is required for pipeline registrations.

✵ So as not to delay the session, participants who DO NOT arrive in time to complete all paper work, make payment if needed, and enter the Assessment lab on time will need to be rescheduled using the standard minimum 24 business hours’ notice policy.

✵ CTCCB and NCCER maintain very strict testing standards; participants must sign an acknowledgement stating that they have read and understand our policies and procedures and agree to abide by such. If a participant violates any policy, is suspected of cheating or is otherwise uncooperative or disruptive in any way, the participant will be instructed to leave the CTCCB premises immediately and CTCCB will contact the employer to advise them of the situation. Participant could potentially lose their credentials

If you have any questions or require assistance in properly scheduling an assessment test, please feel free to contact us.
