Assessments
The Craft Training Center of the Coastal Bend offers online (computer based) NCCER assessments that are developed through the National Craft Assessment and Certification Process (NCACP). These assessments evaluate previously obtained knowledge and skill levels of experienced journeyman workers who may not have formal documentation of their training.
Once passed, written (computer based) assessment participants will receive a “knowledge verified” NCCER Card and credentials will be available in the Automated National Registry (ANR). Upon successful completion of both the computer based assessment and a Performance Verification participants will receive “Certified Plus” credentials.
When testing for Crane Operator, Rigger, or Signal Person, participants must successfully complete both the computer based assessment and a practical exam to appear in the ANR. Practical’s are delivered by an NCCER Certified Practical Examiner.
All credentials are processed by NCCER.
